Happy Holidays to all USEP members!

We hope this Holiday message finds you and your families in good health and spirits! Considering what can only be described as the craziest and most challenging school year ever, we are proud to say that Pasco’s employees rose to the occasion once again and provided solid educational experiences for our students. That is a lot to say in this most difficult year and we at USEP want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU and commend all our members for their unprecedented efforts. JOB WELL DONE!

You should also know that as this semester drew to a close, USEP and District negotiators and senior District staff have had several substantive informal conversations over how to distribute the state mandated funding for teacher salary increases while emphasizing the need to consider ALL employees – especially during this most uncharacteristic and challenging year! We are confidant that we will be able both parties to return to the negotiating table after our return and effect a settlement that can be finalized, and a settlement reached FOR ALL EMPLOYEES!

The District’s health insurance plan was finalized during the fall and will continue to provide comprehensive coverage for all eligible employees in 2021. Very few changes were made to a fully paid HMO plan that will continue to be offered.

Please take this well-earned time away from school and the unique challenges this year has created to recharge and rest with your family for the second semester. It is important for us all to be ready when our students return to meet the daily challenges that still will lie before us.
