2017 OFFICER, EXECUTIVE BOARD & AFFILIATE

ELECTION TIMELINES

Eligibility for voting, nominating and/or running in the election requires membership by 12/2/2016

Officer & Executive Board Members, FEA, Delegates are elected for a three (3) year term (June 1, 2017 – May 31, 2020). AFT Convention Delegates are elected for a two (2) year term, and NEA Representative Assembly Delegates are elected for one (1) year, effective upon election.

FEA Delegate Assembly Delegates:

Date TBD: Elections Committee reviews proposed forms, timelines and procedures with recommendation to Rep Council

Nomination forms and Timelines and Procedures provided at Representative Council.

Friday, 12/2/2016, at 4:30 p.m. – Deadline for receipt of membership application cards at the USEP office for an employee to be eligible to run as a candidate, nominate a candidate, and/or vote in the 2017 Elections.

Thursday, 12/8/2016
Pre-Election Uniter sent to worksites via school courier.

Thursday, 12/8/2016
Nomination forms and Timelines and Procedures sent to worksites via school courier.

Thursday, 12/22/2016, at 4:30 p.m.
Deadline for receipt of nomination forms at the USEP office.

Tuesday, 1/17/2017, at 6:00 p.m. –
Mandatory Candidates’ Meeting with Elections Committee at the USEP office to sign procedure forms and witness random drawing to determine order of names on ballots. Also, Building Representative listing(s) and/or member listing(s) available to candidates.

Wednesday, 1/18/2017 – 3/9/2017
Official Campaign period

Wednesday 1/25/2017, at 4:30 p.m.
Deadline for receipt of request for Building Rep and/or member listings and candidates’ statements for Election Uniter at the USEP office.

Wednesday, 2/1/2017
Election Uniter sent to worksites via school courier.

Thursday, 2/23/2017 Thursday, 3/9/2017 
Balloting by mail.

Thursday, 3/9/2017
Deadline for Ballots to be received by Supervisor of Elections.
