USEP Seeks Feedback on
Teacher Evaluation Changes
USEP is surveying teachers who have received their first
observation under the requirements of the “Student
Success Act” (SB 736).
Despite the mandates of the law and DOE decree, there
are areas that require extensive collective bargaining.
USEP and the District have been negotiating these
key provisions and impacts of SB-736 since the summer!
USEP has refused to be rushed since much is at stake for
teachers.
However, the
timelines have caused the District to begin
implementation even as the evaluation process is being
developed.
Please note, once an agreement is reached, all
instructional personnel will vote whether or not to
ratify.
Many of the process elements have been negotiated, yet
there are several key elements unresolved.
Therefore,
USEP is asking
all teachers who have experienced an observation during
the first observation cycle to use the link below to
take the online survey.
USEP understands that many non-classroom teachers
have not yet been observed and cannot weigh in on this
survey.
USEP will seek input from them separately.
If you have experienced an initial formal observation
and post conference, please click on the link and select
the survey that applies to you.
