USEP Sponsors Pasco Young Educators Kick-off Social

On Thursday, February 13th at 5:30 p.m. the Pasco Young Educators are kicking off their exciting new group with a social at the World of Beer, 2081 Collier Parkway, in Land O’ Lakes.

The new group consists of teachers and School Related Professionals under the age of 40 who want to empower young educators to become politically aware and socially active.

The group is spearheaded by three Pasco teachers and USEP members who attended a statewide Young Educators conference to address the needs of younger education employees entering the profession.

“We want to build capacity and raise awareness among young employees to ensure contractual rights into our future,” said Nakita Gillespie.

“We want to build a network that provides opportunities for school employees to relate to others.  Building our professional organization now will provide strength and security to our profession in the future!” added Elizabeth Beck.

Encourage young educators to attend and RSVP via Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pasco-Young-Educators/1476146879279602
